Vivo Y12 Review: Sleek design and Amazing battery life

Vivo recently launched the Vivo Y12 and Y30 in South Africa and we had a chance to review these new products, below we look at the Y12.
The Vivo Y12 comes with a 6.35-inch HD+ Halo FullView display, 13 + 8 + 2 Megapixel AI triple rear cameras and an 8 Megapixel selfie camera.
It runs on a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset with 3GB of RAM, Android 9 Pie operating system, and Funtouch OS 9 software. There's also 4G LTE connectivity, face recognition, and fingerprint scanner. A huge 5,000mAh battery powers the device.

Design
In terms of the build, the Vivo Y12 comes with a glass front, plastic back, and plastic frame. On the front, the device features a 6.35-inch display and a 8 MP selfie camera. Its back panel is equipped with three cameras and a fingerprint sensor. The Vivo Y12 also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack and micro-usb charging port. It is available in two colours, Aqua Blue and Burgundy Red.
Display
The Vivo Y12 sports a 6.35-inch IPS LCD (720 x 1544px) display which boasts good visuals and a balanced contrast. With this display quality, the Vivo Y12 delivers great viewing and decent gaming experience, making it a good device for social media binging and gaming.
Camera
The Vivo Y12 is technically impressive, as it is fitted with 13 MP f/2.2 + 8 MP ultra-wide f/2.2 +2 MP depth f/2.4 rear sensors that will step up your photography game. You can also expect vibrant and crisp selfies, as the Vivo Y12 comes with an 8 MP f/2.2 selfie camera.
Performance
The Vivo Y12 is powered by a Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 chipset that pairs with 3GB of RAM and PowerVR GE8320 GPU. As such, you can expect that the device will handle light and moderate smartphone tasks with ease. As for storage memory, the Vivo Y12 is equipped with 64GB of internal storage which is expandable by adding a micro-sd card.
